ABOUT US
Craig Simon has been a Certified Helicopter Flight Instructor and Certified Helicopter Instrument
Instructor since 2006. Craig is a member of NAFI, National Association of Flight Instructors; and he
is honored by the FAA as being one of the best in the industry with the Gold Seal Flight Instructor
rating. ATP rated in helicopters, he has over 7,000 safe flight hours in aircraft including single and
twin engine helicopters as well as single and multi-engine fixed wing aircraft. Besides helicopters,
Craig also maintains a Certified Instrument Fixed Wing Instructor rating and Commercial Single and
Multi-Engine Fixed Wing rating. From operating in the hostile Gulf of Mexico to the beautiful islands
of Hawaii, Craig has extensive experience in Flight Training, Super VIP transportation, Single and
Dual pilot IFR (Instrument Flight Rules), Aerial Photography, NVG (Night Vision Goggles), and EMS
flight experience.

Aviation Academy of Louisiana is located at 705 Hangar Drive, New Iberia, Louisiana 70560. From Lafayette or Broussard, take Exit 122 on Highway 90. Turn Left on LA 88 towards the East. Google Maps will take you to 705 Hangar Drive.

Our Abbeville location is located at 262 Jimmy C. Vorhoff Dr., Abbeville, LA 70510 at the Vector Aviation building. The airport is located conveniently off of Hwy 14.

We are open 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday and Sunday by appointment.
